THE LEGACY

FOUR DECADES.
ONE INVERTER FAMILY.

Most backup power systems only earn their keep the moment the mains fails. As the last source of power, the inverter has to be reliable and ready to operate in the blink of an eye — a standard the IRM has held since Latronics started building sinewave inverters in 1985.

1985
Latronics founded — specialist sinewave inverter manufacturer, Australian designed and built.
2000s – 2020s
The IRM becomes the standard rack-mount inverter for mining, rail, telecommunications, marine and remote power installations nationwide.
2006
Latronics broadens the IRM's DC input range, adding higher-voltage options (72V-120V) to serve larger battery banks and industrial installations.
June 2025
Latronics ceases manufacturing after four decades in industrial power.
July 2025
Lagenix Energy was founded to carry Latronics' reputation forward and support every customer already relying on an IRM.
Today
The IRM Series is back in production — same engineering, manufactured and supported by Lagenix Energy.
